Homeopathy in times of calamities, war, natural disasters and terror
4 meetings Webinars: homeopathy for time of disasters and war and refugee like situation, by Dr. Michal Yakir
This webinar series will refer to the needs of our time: circumstances that are immediate and acute and all consuming. Homoeopathic treatment has, historically, been one of the most important first-line treatment that can be offered in acute situations. It is a skill we need to hone.
In our time, when people (and animals) are being torn from their homes and uprooted, when we are affected by violence of any kind: natural disasters to terrorist attacks, when accidents are abundant and when anyone may be beset by sudden and scary circumstances – this is where we can intervene so easily with acute homoeopathy.
These 4 webinars offer a concise look at acute treatment in time of calamities, which is different from chronic/acute personal prescription. Severe, acute trauma can shake the patient out of their constitutional state, and such a situation calls for rapid prescription, for a succession of remedies and for a set of acute trauma remedies quite different from those used in constitutional prescribing. A homoeopath needs to be prepared, as when an accident occurs there is not much time left for wondering, one needs to act immediately!
Yakir has experience in dealing with trauma from her emergency care work in refugee camps in Middle Eastern countries, where sudden trauma and fear and stress are a day-to-day reality.'
